What stays on your device

By default, your payments, accounts, categories, settings, reminders, and app preferences are stored locally on your device.

Smart Budget does not run its own backend server for your budget data.

iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, your budget data syncs through your private Apple iCloud account using CloudKit.

This data is not sent to a Smart Budget server. iCloud sync is optional and can be left off.

Tracking, ads, and analytics

Smart Budget does not sell your data, show ads, use third-party analytics, or track you across other apps and websites.

Notifications

Smart Budget can schedule local reminders on your device if you enable notifications.

Notification settings are controlled by iOS and can be changed in the app or in iOS Settings.

App lock

If you enable App lock, Smart Budget uses iOS Face ID or device passcode through Apple's system authentication.

Smart Budget does not receive or store your biometric data.

Pro unlock purchases

Smart Budget Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Smart Budget does not receive or store your payment card details. The app stores only the local unlock state needed to enable Pro features.

Deleting data

You can remove local Smart Budget data by deleting the app from your device.

If iCloud sync is enabled, synced data may also exist in your private iCloud account according to Apple's iCloud behavior and settings.
